Plots[]

Collectors Classic[]

In a superhero dream sequence, Garfield (as Ultra-Powerful Guy) is battling The Lasagnanator, a villain whose plan it is to, within the next three minutes, destroy the planet using a giant lasagna filled with radioactive ricotta. Ultra-Powerful Guy's solution is to consume the bomb; however, before he can, the dream sequence is ended by Nermal scoffing at the idea. Annoyed, Garfield kicks Nermal into the old neighbor's trashcan, where Nermal finds an issue of Ultra-Powerful Guy; the first volume dating to August, 1939. Excited, Nermal shows Jon Arbuckle, who after researching online, finds that their copy could be valued at around half a million dollars. This intrigues Garfield due to the possible amount of food he could purchase.

Jon takes the pets to see Rupert, a comic store owner. On the way there, Odie suggests they return the comic to the neighbor, which Garfield and Nermal violently oppose. Rupert ascertains that, although counterfeits are common, he believes their copy is real and worth a "small fortune". Unable to afford it, he suggests Jon takes it to Persnickety Gallery. The gallery's curator confirms its authenticity and suggests that after restoring it, it be slabbed under plastic so it can enter a constant cycle of resale. The curator hands the comic to Nermal, who allergic to the old comic's paper, sneezes it out the multi-storey window. The pets spot the comic on the road, but before they can retrieve it, a truck rides over it, rendering it worthless. Nermal, ashamed, decides to ship himself to Abu Dhabi to avoid a furious Garfield.

Realizing its worthlessness, Garfield and Odie decide after all to return it to their neighbour. The old woman feigns happiness at receiving it back, but behind closed doors, throws the comic out again as it's revealed that she's been en masse printing counterfeit copies of Ultra-Powerful Guy's first volume.

Big Mouse Meal[]

Garfield and Squeak are dancing in the kitchen. After they finish, Garfield goes to take a nap while Squeak, exiting the house, muses about their unique relationship. One of Squeak's friends, Big Mouse, appears and chastises him for being friendly with Garfield, reasoning that all cats naturally eat mice. Squeak defends the friendship, claiming Garfield is an exception amongst his species. Determined to prove Squeak's naïveté wrong, Big Mouse plans to get Garfield to try to eat him. Waking Garfield up, he offers himself to be eaten, but to his shock, is turned down.

Big Mouse, undeterred, tries various other methods: He places himself in a sandwich, swims in Garfield's bowl of soup, and sets himself onto a pizza ordered for Garfield; Each time, he is rebuffed. After having been chased out the house by Garfield, Big Mouse is grabbed by Harry and Waldo: two cats who do eat mice. Squeak sees the commotion from the window, and panicking, gets Garfield to go save Big Mouse. Garfield hatches a plan to tell Harry and Waldo that he personally would have no interest in Big Mouse as he only feasts on gourmet mice delivered from the back of Vito's van.

Noticing the van open, and completely enticed, Harry and Waldo hand Big Mouse to Garfield, and get into the open van. They're suddenly locked inside by Garfield who reveals that it was in actuality, an animal control van. In the end, Big Mouse graciously accepts that Garfield doesn't eat mice, while Garfield states the similarity between lasagna and mice: they're both filled with cheese.
