Plantilla:Book Series Infobox The Disney Discovery Series is a series of Disney Read-Along books from Disneyland/Vista Records, produced between 1984 to 1987. They teach subjects as counting, manners, the alphabet, colors and shapes, different jobs and modes of transportation, the seasons, telling time, and safety tips. They featured various characters from numerous Disney animated features and shorts of the time, and would conclude with a song or two relating to the story (typically performed by Larry Groce, often coming from the older Little Golden Book read-alongs or from the Children's Favorites series of albums.)
In 1986, three of the books were adapted for home video as part of the Walt Disney Video-A-Longs series, on a tape called "Mickey's Discovery Series".
